The food is decent, but nothing special. Where I feel disappointed is how small the servings have got and how expensive they are.
This, unfortunately has become the standard of late, but given how simple the food is, and portion sizes, it shouldn't be this costly.
Next time I want the food, I'll just make it myself.
The bad reviews must be wrong lol. I love the food at Casa Villa and have for years and years (over 10)!!!! The food is excellent and delicious here, always! The carne asada burrito is one of the best burritos I've ever had. Yum
Stopped in for a late breakfast of Huevos Rancheros today. It is by far some of the best I’ve eaten. Coffee was good too. Do your stomach a favor and order this the next time you are in the neighborhood. Parking around the restaurant is difficult at best even with a lot next the restaurant but it’s worth it. On past visits I’ve enjoyed their Carne Asada, Chicken Enchiladas and Camarones A La Diabla (shrimp in a lime garlic sauce if I remember it right).
A go-to spot. Casa Villa is always excellent for my family. From the most basic like chips and salsa and nachos, to the entrees like the pork chops, asada, tacos al pastor, and fish tacos, the food is always excellent. They also have a great michelada and fantastic fruit aguas for those who don’t drink. Service is very attentive, and the space feels lively and fun even when there aren’t many patrons, which has only been once!
$18 plus tax for this soup. Rice or tortillas in menu, but not provided. You are better off going to the old house up the street. First and last time I order from this place. The worst.
I used to go to this place and the sister store on the West side of Stamford all the time when I lived there. They're both fantastic, the food quality is excellent, the service is expedient, attentive and friendly, the prices are more than reasonable, And the portions very generous. For its price and what it is (not fancy, but good food), this is definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.
The food looks delicious, and the chips and spicy salsa and guac were very yummy. However, the chicken in the quesadilla and enchiladas were extremely disappointing. Bland with very little taste and what you did taste wasnt worth it. The …
Be careful: this place charges for chips and salsa, whereas most Mexican restaurants give this as a gratis item. We found charges for multiple chips and salsa refills hidden in the middle of our itemized bill. When we asked about this, they told us only the first item was considered “free.”
